Our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLPs) are experts in the area of communication. Working with individuals of all ages, our SLPs have specific experience and training to address speech and swallowing problems. OTC clients at specialized school sites and in community settings benefit from their intervention.

Our SLPs work collaboratively with our OTC team and site staff regarding oral-motor issues, including difficulty in eating and swallowing; communication using varied augmentative and visual methodologies; vocalization and auditory processing concerns. They may utilize specific software or technology devices to assist the intervention process. Oral-Motor therapy is provided to help build muscle strength, tone and coordination of the facial area. Feeding therapy helps the client successfully eat various textures and tastes of food.

Language Development in the young child is facilitated through a variety of therapeutic intervention strategies. Articulation and Phonological Disorders that limit or prevent appropriate speech sounds are also of concern to our SLPs.
