In addition to providing services at specific facilities/settings, our therapists provide training programs, program development, management and consultation, in local settings, statewide, nationally and internationally. The NJ Department of Education has approved OTC as a Provider of Professional Development Programs.

Therapists from OTC's Clinic at Somerset provide programs for Nursery and Pre-School programs, Parent Support Groups and community organizations. They also provide specialized programs and specific consultation services in school settings concerning issues related to Sensory Processing.
OTC's school based therapists provide consultation and training programs for teachers and other educational staff. Our programs are designed to expand staff knowledge regarding the needs of special education students and delivery of therapy services.

In our community programs for adults with developmental disabilities, therapists are very active as consultants and trainers. For example, many of our adult clients require specialized augmentative communication devices. Our team of speech language pathologists and occupational therapists are frequently called upon as consultants to help establish a plan for these devices. Our physical therapists frequently use their consultative expertise to identify and obtain the necessary mobility devices required by some of these clients.
